The Ergonomic M-Position

The Ergonomic M-Position

The M-Position is something that often confuses families, and in fact, many don’t even know about it… Yet it is the correct position that ensures your baby’s healthy anatomical development 🌟

So how can families support proper hip development and provide this position for their babies with the Ilays Beauty Stretch Sling? The answer is actually very simple 🤗 Let me explain step by step:

Step 1: To make sure your baby is at the right height, you need to tie the sling snugly around your waist.

Step 2: Take the crossed fabric panels in front of you. Place your baby’s first leg through the panel that is underneath. Hold one edge of the fabric at your baby’s knee, while pulling the other edge across their back, spreading it up to the opposite knee.

Step 3: Repeat the same process with the other cross panel for your baby’s other leg 🤗

👉 The key point here: the two crossed fabric pieces in front should extend from one knee to the other ❕

Step 4: Finally, take the front straight panel and pull it over your baby’s legs and up to their back, ensuring that the bottom edge rests right at knee level.

✨ The result: your baby’s knees are higher than their bottom, or their bottom is slightly lower than the knees. This creates the correct ergonomic M-position, which is anatomically suitable and supports healthy hip development 😍

Even though it may sound like many steps in theory, it’s actually very easy to apply in practice 🥰

Along with our instructional videos and user guide, families can also achieve the correct position simply by following these key parameters 🧡
